Prompt action by the city police led to tracing of a 12 years old girl within 18 hours after she went missing yesterday morning.
The girl did not want to attend the maths tuition in the afternoon after the school hours, so she decided to run away instead of returning home from the school, police said.
As she went missing the panicked parents shared her photograph on Facebook and twitter, appealing netizens to help. Her father lodged a missing person complaint with suburban Powai police.

A police officer said the girl was scared of maths, and went to the school in the morning with the intention of running away, carrying a pair of clothes with her.
Thanking police for their prompt action, her father said in Facebook message: "We go down on our knees and thank Mumbai Police who have turned Mumbai inside out to find her.
