Girl who went missing restored to her parents

A 21-year-old girl from Manickpur of Vasai division who went missing on March 12 was sucessfully traced and restored to her parents today by the district rural police, police sources said.

Police inspector Vijay Shinde who probed the case told PTI that initially a missing case was registered based on a complaint by the girl's father.

On March 21, the police registered a case against four people under Sections 363, Section 364 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and intensified the probe.

The police finally located the girl in the Kaman Dongripada are under Waliv police station.
 

Later, the girl was restored to her parents, Shinde said.

The police is still in the process of finding out the role of four people against whom offences have been registered.
