The results of Class XII State Board exams in Tamil Nadu held in March were declared today with an overall pass percentage of 91 per cent.
Girls continued to outshine boys as in the past, with 94.1 per cent of them clearing the exams, according to statistics released by the state government.
The girl's pass percentage was 6.4 per cent more than that of the boys.
Around 9.07 lakh students had registered for the exams that were held from March 1 to April 6 this year.
The overall pass percentage was marginally lower compared to last year's 92.1 per cent.

Among the districts that fared well, Virudhunagar topped the list, followed by Erode and Tirupur.
Subject-wise, more number of students (96.4 per cent) cleared Physics, followed by Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
As many as 2,110 differently-abled students of the 2,602 who appeared for the exams came out in flying colours.
Since last year, the state government had done away with the ranking system to spare students of 'stress.
