Raj Thackeray-led MNS's two general secretaries from the city -- Vasant Gite and Atul Chandak -- quit their party posts alongwith 150 others today.
They however said they were not leaving the party.
Talking to reporters, Gite, a former MNS MLA, said, "I, Atul Chandak and other party office-bearers from Nashik have resigned, taking moral responsibility for the defeat of the party in the recently held Assembly elections."

Gite and another MNS candidate, Nitin Bhosale, lost the election from the city.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sane, BJP's in-charge for north Maharashtra, claimed that 15 to 16 MNS corporators were in touch with him for possible defection.
