Givaudan, the Swiss manufacturer of flavours and fragrances, is set to invest around Rs 368 crore (55 million Swiss Franc) in a new facility at Ranjangaon near Pune.
The facility is expected to open by early 2018 and will employ some 100 people, the company said in a statement.
It further added that the Ranjangaon facility will complement Givaudan's existing plant in Daman.

The new facility is expected to boost Givaudan's capabilities in liquid compounding, powder blending, emulsions, process flavours and spray drying in India.
The Switzerland-headquartered Givaudan is a global leader in creation of fragrances and flavours.
In 2014, Givaudan, which has presence in over 80 locations and employs 9,500 worldwide, notched up sales worth 4.4 billion Swiss Franc.
