The Trinamool Congress today accused the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha of double standards by resorting to shutdown in Darjeeling while wanting to talk to the West Bengal government through the Governor.
"They are following a policy of double standards. On one hand they are sponsoring a hartal. On the other hand, they want to talk to the state government through the Governor," TMC General Secretary Mukul Roy, a close aide of the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told reporters at the TMC headquarters here.
Roy said that the people in Darjeeling were gradually moving away from the politics of bandh and wanted a stable situation and a normal life.
