As many as 10 persons were injured after a scuffle broke out between the security guard of a cash replenishment van and a lawyer over parking in south-east Delhi's Greater Kailash area here this afternoon.

The guard, identified as one Satya Prakash, also fired two to three rounds from his gun during the clash with the shots luckily missing everybody. However, at least five people suffered injuries caused by bullet splinters.

The incident took place at around 12.30 PM when the cash replenishment van was parked outside the gate of lawyer Surendra Verma.

"As the custodians of the van went inside an ATM, the security guard, Prakash (35) and the driver, identified as one Ram Kishan (50), remained standing beside the vehicle," said a police official.

In the meantime, Verma arrived on the scene and objected to the vehicle being parked there following which a heated argument broke out between the lawyer and Prakash. Soon, other people joined in and a fight broke out.

It was after locals informed the police that the injured were taken to the AIIMS trauma centre. While most of the injured persons were discharged after first aid, driver Ram Kishan was said to be in a critical condition.
