Actress Glenn Close and her husband of nine years, David Shaw, have quietly divorced.
The 68-year-old "Fatal Attraction" star, who wed venture capitalist Shaw in Maine in 2006, is returning to New York to focus on her enduringly successful acting career, reported New York Post.
The actress' spokeswoman confirmed, "They are divorced," adding that the marriage officially ended this summer.

Close's February 2006 wedding to Shaw was the third marriage for the star.
Close has a daughter, Annie Maude Starke, 27, with her former partner John Starke.
Meanwhile, six-time Oscar nominee Close remains in demand as an actress.
She is reuniting with John Malkovich for the first time since 1988 in "Wilde Wedding," shooting this month. Her next movie, "She Who Brings Gifts," is set for a 2016 release, and in April she'll reprise her role as Norma Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard" onstage in London.
Close is also in talks to join Ed Helms and Owen Wilson in the comedy "Bastards".
