The International Deep Drawing Research Group (IDDRG) conference is being organised by Sheet Metal Forming Research Association (SMFRA) and IIT-Bombay from November 25-29.
IDDRG is an apex body of global sheet metal forming community. It is devoted to the study of sheet metal forming including forming processes, materials, formability issues, tooling and many other interesting aspects of sheet metal forming research and industrial practices.
IIT-Bombay campus will host the conference, which is likely to be attended by about 100 delegates from abroad and about 200 from India, a statement said.
The conference will bring together various experts in this field from academia, industry and R&D labs from across the globe to deliberate on the latest developments in sheet metal forming.
It will also consist of several plenary and invited lectures and contributed papers from global experts, said the statement, adding that over 100 papers will be presented in the conference.
"The Conference is relevant for steel and aluminium sheet producers, automotive OEMs, auto component manufacturers, white good industries, tools, machine tools, R&D and academia," the statement said.
