Global Waste Recyclers mulls to go public

Global Waste Recyclers, engaged in recycling paper for over five decades, is in the process of getting listed on the BSE Small and Medium Enterprises Exchange, a top company official said here today.

"We have just filed to get listed on the BSE SME platform. We are yet to get the approval," Global Waste Recyclers Managing Director Bharat M Pujara told reporters here.

The company, which reported total revenue of Rs 43 crore in 2013-14, was also aiming at registering Rs 200 crore in the next five years, he said.

"We are planning to register Rs 200 crore revenue in five years. One of our expansion plans is to diversify into shredding business", he said.
 

"We want to diversify into area of secure shredding. We are planning to set up four units in South. Two units in Chennai, one each in Bangaluru and Hyderabad. Investments will be around Rs 10 crore," he said.

Besides this, the company is also looking at setting up third recycling plant. "We currently have two recycling plants. We want to set up a third plant", Global Waste Recyclers Director Umesh Pujara said.

He said the company imports waste paper from the United States, the Middle East, Australasia. Industry requirement is three million tonne every year and 60 per cent of it is currently imported, he said.
