Globesyn founder Bikram Dasgupta to help start-ups

Globesyn Group founder Bikram Dasgupta today said he will set up a dedicated angel investment fund to help start-ups.

"I look forward to investing in companies engaged in developing products that help reach technologies to the people through by BDG Global," Dasgupta told PTI here.

"I will be investing either directly in technology or in technology enabled innovative projects," Dasgupta, who had won the single largest export manufacturing contract from Dell Computer, USA, said.

Dasgupta's BDG Global has invested in 15 start-ups including - FabAlley, an online fashion destination for young generation), FreshWorld, an enterprise which has forayed into 'farm to home' concept by organising fruit retailing, besides Arcatran, a company building next generation devices to aid people with limited mobility and Get My parking which provides real time bird's eye view of all parking information.
 

Dasgupta, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and IIT-Kharagpur, said the successful start-ups having customer base are doing well.
