Guwahati Municipal Corporation(GMC) sources said the factory at Boragaon area was sealed for manufacturing salt of poor quality.
GMC officials also sealed an electroni goods warehouse set up illegally at Phatasil Ambari, a residential locality.
GMC officials had carried out surprise inspections at both places before sealing them, the sources said adding more such operations are expected in the next week or so.
