GMR Group contributes Rs 2.50 cr to AP govt

Infrastructure major GMR Group has handed over Rs 2.50 crore to Andhra Pradesh towards relief measures following cyclone Hudhud which devastated the region.

Employees of GMR Group contributed a total of Rs 2.50 crore and the amount was handed over to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Venkaiah Naidu this morning, a company statement said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after undertaking an aerial visit to Andhra Pradesh has announced an interim relief of Rs 1,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh.

More than 30 persons were killed and several others rendered homeless after Cyclone Hudhud made landfall last week.
