The GNLF has asked GTA Chief Executive Bimal Gurung to "let people of the Darjeeling Hills know" what happened to his assertion on August 18 last about stepping down from GTA in two and half months time as the stipulated time has elapsed.
GNLF spokesperson Neeraj Zimba Tamang said yesterday people of hills did not hear anything from the GJMM leader even though Gurung had announced at a publlic meeting on August 18, 2016 that he will resign from GTA and take up the issue of separate state.
"I need around two to two-and-a-half-months as I have to finish some work (in the GTA). I have to ensure that people are not inconvenienced," Gurung had said in August.
