Go beyond GDP to bring development: Nitish

"Only gross domestic product cannot be the scale of development. It may be an indicator of the development," he told reporters here.

He went on to say that even the growth of GDP should not be treated as development.

"The model of development in Bihar was development with justice and it can be considered development when the living standard of the people sitting on the last bench of the society raises and there is a sentiment of satisfaction among all," he said.
