Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray today cautioned his party workers against "excessive use" of social media.

Addressing a meet of party's youth wing, Raj asked MNS activists not to get carried away while using the social media. "Politics is in existence since long before the social media was born," Raj told the meet.

The MNS chief also took a potshot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making "tall promises" and referred to a joke doing the rounds on social media.

Modi, known to be tech-savvy, uses Twitter and his blog regularly to air his views or to provide information.
