The Aam Aadmi Party is not the "B team" of the ruling BJP in Goa and those making such claims should furnish proof, AAP state unit chief Elvis Gomes said Friday.

The AAP is contesting the two Lok Sabha seats and two out of the three Assembly bypolls (Mapusa and Shiroda) in the state and has been the subject of insinuations from the Congress that it was behaving like the "B team" of BJP.

The Lok Sabha and Assembly bypolls will be held in Goa on April 23.

"We are ready to withdraw our candidates if our rivals could provide the slightest proof to show we are B team of the BJP," Gomes said.

The AAP has fielded Gomes from South Goa and Pradeep Padgaonkar from North Goa Lok Sabha seats.

Its candidates for the Mapusa and Shiroda bypolls are Shekhar Naik and Yogesh Khandeparkar respectively.
