Noted writers, poets, journalists and artists from India and abroad will take part in the 8th edition of the Goa Arts and Literature Festival (GALF) to be held here from December 7 to 10.
The four-day event will be inaugurated at Maquinez Palace, while subsequent sessions will be held at The International Centre Goa on the outskirts of Panaji.
"The GALF 2017 will showcase writers, poets and others from a wide range of Indian languages, including Konkani and Marathi," the organisers said in a press note here.

These include Sahitya Akademi Award winners Ganesh Devy, Ramachandra Guha, Jerry Pinto and Ranjit Hoskote, along with the 2015 Man Booker Prize nominee Anuradha Roy.
The North Eastern Council (NEC) is sending several writers from the region, including Padmashri award winner Patricia Mukhim," the organisers said.
International delegates will include Edwin Thumboo (Singapore) and Gabriel Rosenstock (Ireland).
The GALF 2017 will host three authors as part of its focus on history, contemporary Indian politics and international relations.
They are Nitin Gokhale, the author of 'Securing India the Modi Way: Pathankot, Surgical Strikes and More'; Prashant Jha, the author of 'How the BJP Wins: Inside India's Greatest Election Machine', and Prasenjit K Basu, the author of 'Asia Reborn', the release added.
