The Goa legislative assembly today congratulated member of the Indian women's cricket team Shikha Pandey, who hails from the coastal state, for her performance in Women's World Cup Final at London.
The House also congratulated team's physiotherapist Tracy Fernandes who too belongs to the state.
BJP legislator Rajesh Patnekar moved the congratulatory motion which was passed unanimously on the floor of the House.
Making a statement, speaker Pramod Sawant said both the players have brought laurels to the country and the state.
