Goa Assembly session may start from July 22

The monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly will start in the last week of July, possibly from 22nd, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said here.

Talking to reporters today, Parrikar said it would be a full-length session.

"The session will have 18 working days. Tentatively it will start on July 22....Will wind up before the Ganesh Chaturthi festival," Parrikar said.

"For three days, there will be discussion on the budget, and demands for grants would be taken up in the (following) fifteen days," he stated.

The ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival will begin from August 29.

The Chief Minister said 'the private member days', which fall on Friday, will have longer session, so that the entire business can be finished within 18 days.
