The ruling BJP in Goa has maintained silence on the unhappiness expressed by party MLA Michael Lobo over bifurcation of North Goa Planning and Development Authority and the 'differences' among the NDA partners over distribution of power.

Lobo was unhappy since the government contemplated the possibility of bifurcating North Goa Planning and Development Authority, which he is heading.

In another development, the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) which is a coalition partner in the BJP-led government has expressed dissatisfaction over preference given to another ally--the Goa Forward Party (GFP) in distribution of power.

"We know MGP office-bearers are making statements over the distribution of power. But we won't comment on the issue," BJP Goa unit president Vinay Tendulkar told reporters after attending the party meeting in the state capital.

Responding to a query, he said the legislator has not expressed his unhappiness.

"There are statements being made over several issues through media. But I feel that the aggrieved persons should talk to the chief minister. The issues don't get resolved if you address them in media," Tendulkar said, without naming anyone.

He said Goa has witnessed increased urbanisation due to which the need of planning and development authorities has been felt.
