The Goa Church has proposed advancement of upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) as its dates clash with the exposition of holy relics of St Francis Xavier, which is a decennial event.
While IFFI would be held from November 20-30, the exposition will start from November 22 to January 4, 2015.
"We have had no dialogue with the state government but it would have been much better if IFFI had to be over before the exposition starts," Fr Alfred Vaz, who heads the exposition committee, told PTI.

The decennial exposition of relics of St Francis Xavier is most awaited event for Christian community. The relics will be kept open for veneration of the faithful for 44 days.
"Officially, the dates have been announced by Archbishop of Goa through a circular," Fr Vaz said.
The Church has also raised concerns about the safety of pilgrims who would be visiting the exposition apparently over number of people coming to the coastal state.
State Director General of Police T Mohan said police would not like to have the dates clashed. "We want to have separate dates if possible," he said.
A senior police officer said the department has not got any information about the dates for the exposition so far.
