Goa police have registered a case against five members of the crew of Bobby Bedi's Kaleidoscope Entertainment film 'Mango' for allegedly assaulting a social activist during a shoot in Panaji city today.

Oscar Rebello, a social activist who has headed anti-regional plan protests and other agitations, was allegedly manhandled by five men who were in charge of the security during the shooting for the film 'Mango'.

Police arrested three of them, while two were yet to be traced.

The incident took place at 11.30 am when Dr Rebello was walking to his clinic. "I was manhandled by the security men, without any reason. I was trying to cross the road but they had cordoned the entire area," Rebello told mediapersons.

A lady, carrying a child, was also pushed on the road by these security men, he alleged.

The shoot had to be stopped after Mayor Surendra Furtado and others reached the spot.

'Mango' is being directed by 'Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa' director Abbas Tyrewala and stars Chandan Roy Sanyal, Monali Thakur and Swara Bhaskar among others.
