In what can be considered a breakthrough for Indian youth academies, Sesa Football Academy striker Chukwudi Chukwuma is set to undergo trials at FK Teplice, a top division club in the Czech Republic Gambrinus Liga and which played in the 1999-2000 UEFA Champions League.
Chukwudi will participate in a week-long trial which will include training sessions and a practice match closely monitored by the coaching staff of FK Teplice, a club that competed in the 1999-2000 UEFA Champions League and 2009-2010 UEFA Europa League and has had Bosnia & Herzegovina and Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko as a part of its alumni.
Chukwuma, known for his pace and clinical finishing abilities, began his stint with the Goa-based academy in 2010 churning out impressive displays in the Goa Pro League and U20 I-League over the past couple of years.

Having trained under the watchful eyes of his father, Clifford Chukwuma, and ex-Academy Director and Chief Scout of Panathinaikos FC and current Sesa FA Technical Director Tassos Sioulas, Chukwudi developed a solid reputation due to his consistent display of strength and skill on the pitch.
Chukwudi was elated after learning about the trial and said, "It is an honour to have been invited by FK Teplice. This is a tremendous opportunity for me to realize my childhood dream of playing in Europe. I am ready and will do my best to impress the coaches and secure a contract with the club."
