Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today said Goa will continue hosting the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in future as well, continuing with the partnership which was forged almost a decade back.

"We started holding the hands of Goa government in the year 2004 and now we are in 2013. I don't think even in year 2014 we will leave the hand," Tewari told reporters at the IFFI venue.

"People will be same (at Centre) despite the claims there will be change," the minister said, apparently referring to the BJP's claim for change in government at Centre after Lok Sabha in 2014.

He said there was no doubt in continuing with the understanding with the state government, which he labelled as a "federal-state partnership".

"There are no doubts. Even government of Goa has no doubts about it," Tewari added.

Observing that more infrastructure is needed to host IFFI in Goa, the minister said the government should strike a balance so that the set up can be used entire year even when there is no festival happening.

"We are not imposing on Goa government but they have been attempting to do whatever they can," the minister added.
