A Mumbai-bound GoAir flight with about 100 passengers, including former Army Chief General VK Singh, on board was forced to return to the airport here following a fire alarm today.

The Airbus A-320 returned under emergency conditions to IGI airport here after it had been airborne for about 40 minutes, airport sources said.

Upon landing back at the airport, the passengers were shifted to another aircraft which flew them to Mumbai.
