Goans will have free-of-cost access to Defexpo India 2016 on the last day of the upcoming four-day event, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar told the Legislative Assembly today.
"Defence Ministry has allowed locals free entry on March 31 which is the last day of the four-day event scheduled in South Goa. The locals can show their identity cards and enter on the last day free of cost," Parsekar said.
Defence Ministry is headed by Manohar Parrikar, the former Chief Minister of Goa.

"I appeal to people to take the benefit of watching this mega event of the country," Parsekar said.
He said the educational institutions will have to send names of their students to the organisers in advance to avail free-of-cost entry on March 31.
A total of 47 countries and as many as 1000 companies have already registered their participation for this event, the CM added.
