General Officer Commanding (GOC) 27-Mountain Division, Kalimpong, Major General Gurpal Singh Sangha, today called on Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at the state capital here.
The Maj General informed the chief minister about the army coordination in the eastern region and the expansion of infrastructures in the area.
During the discussion Sangha informed Chamling about the various issues of army in the border areas said that army in the border areas is for the security of the nation as well as to fight against any form of natural disaster.

While taking to the Major General the Chief Minister said that there is a good coordination between army and the state government and hoped for the same in the future. He also assured the General that his government will provide all possible help and cooperation to the army on the national issues.
