GOC-in-C Eastern Command visits forward areas of Arunachal

General Officer Commanding-In-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi today visited the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh, including Tenga and Tawang bordering China.

During the visit, he interacted with the soldiers deployed in high altitude areas and also took a first-hand briefing from personnel in the forward areas.

The Lt Gen would also be visiting Rangiya during the course of his three-day visit to the 4 Corps zone, a defence communique said.

The Eastern Army Commander who arrived at Tezpur in Assam's Sonitpur district last evening was received by Lt Gen Sarath Chand, GOC 4 Corps, it said.
 

He held discussion on wide ranging issues with the senior officers of the Gajraj Corps.
