The GOC-in-C was received by GOC, Gajraj Corps Lt Gen Shakti Gurung at Air Force station and later visited some formations in the region for a first-hand update on several Army initiatives.
Singh also reviewed the flood situation in the state and the prevailing security scenario with senior defence officials of the region, defence sources said here.
He appreciated the projects being implemented under 'Operation Sadbhavana' for local residents including vision to the needy through cataract surgery, promotion of awareness among children through national integration tours and woman empowerment schemes.
He urged everyone to rededicate themselves and assist the local residents in the best possible way.
