Tobacco major Godfrey Phillips India, the flagship company of the KK Modi Group, today posted a 29.4 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 13.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 10.64 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income from operations was at Rs 533.91 crore as against Rs 536.13 in the year-ago period.

In a separate statement, Godfrey Phillips India today said its board has approved the proposal to seek the service of a merchant banker or advisors for any potential restructuring of its various businesses.
"The Board...Authorised the company to engage the services of a merchant banker and/or other advisors...For any potential restructuring or reorganising its various businesses in order to explore the opportunities for value enhancement for its shareholders," it said.
