Home appliances manufacturer Godrej will invest Rs 200 crore to boost production at its Pune and Punjab facilities.
"Godrej Appliances intend to undertake brownfield expansion at two of their existing home appliances manufacturing facilities based at Shirwal, near Pune and Mohali in Punjab," a company statement said.
The brownfield projects entail an investment of around Rs 200 crore and will help ramp up production of air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators at both locations, it said.

"Through this expansion, we aim to take brand Godrej to even greater heights while showcasing the strength of Indian design and manufacturing expertise at its best," Godrej Appliances Business Head and EVP, Kamal Nandi said.
He further said that "the proposed expansion will allow us to meet the increasing demand from customers and expand our footprint to an even larger area.
