Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today condemned the entry of the police into the Kerala House in New Delhi following a complaint about beef allegedly being served there, saying it "is an attack on cooperative federalism."
"A complaint about beef being served in Kerala House and the manner in which the Delhi Police entered the state-owned Kerala House is an attack on cooperative federalism in our country," Gogoi said in a statement here.
The tenets of democracy allow everyone to profess his own religious beliefs and practices and any external control on it is tantamount to violations of the rights of the citizens, he said.
