Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said youths must be given a platform to hone leadership skills, develop a positive attitude and a critical approach to understand important matters.
"We believe today's youth has the zest to drive their communities forward and must provide them with the correct platform to build their aptitude and skills to become leaders of change," Gogoi said while addressing the valedictory function of the first two-day State Level Youth Leadership Orientation Summit 2014.
Youths of the state have gained self-confidence and a competitive urge has enabled them to make a mark in different fields both within and outside the country and this is primarily due to a positive change in their mindset, he said.
