Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked the Industry Department to remove all bottlenecks in setting up plants and expedite establishing small industrial units to generate employment avenues in the state.
"The department has been asked to remove all bottlenecks to set up industrial units in Assam," an official release said giving an overview of a review meeting chaired by Gogoi with officials of the Industry Department last evening.
Gogoi asked the Additional Chief Secretary to coordinate with all the line departments to forge a synergy to expedite the process of setting up of small industrial units in the state and generate employment avenues, it said.

He also instructed the Additional Chief Secretary to take necessary steps to procure wax from the NRL to provide rightful vocations to the women in candle making.
Gogoi stressed on the promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises.
Moreover, instruction was also given to develop infrastructure in the industrial estates in public-private partnership mode and assured all government help to achieve this end.
Currently, Assam has 41,410 micro, small and medium enterprises and 163 large industrial units.
