Seven gold biscuits valued at Rs 30 lakh were recovered today from a toilet in the domestic terminal of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here.

The biscuits, weighing 100 grams each, were found early morning after a housekeeping staff alerted a CISF check squad about a small wrapped packet lying unattended inside the gents toilet of terminal 1D.

"The biscuits bore a mark--9990 Dubai-UAE-- and have been handed over to authorities concerned," CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.

The CISF called in its bomb disposal squad but after thorough checking the packet was opened in presence of the airport officials and then handed over to Customs authorities at the IGI airport.
