Gold biscuits seized at Thiruvananthapuram airport

: Gold biscuits weighing about 1.4 kg and valued at Rs 40 lakh, were seized from a passenger who arrived at the International airport here, from Dubai, today.

The gold biscuits were seized from Praveen, hailing from Coimbatore, who arrived by an Emirates flight, customs sources said.

The gold biscuits were found concealed in an emergency lamp.

About 80 cartons of foreign cigarettes were also seized from the passenger.

The interrogation of the man is underway, the sources said adding a case under Customs Act has been registered against him.
