Gold futures rise 0.30 pc on global cues

Gold prices rose 0.30 per cent to Rs 29,100 per 10 gram in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, taking positive cues from global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December contracts was up by Rs 88, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 29,100 per 10 gram in a trade volume of 87 lots.

Market analysts said rise in the precious metal at the global market influenced gold prices at futures trade here as participants created positions.

Meanwhile, gold edged higher 0.06 per cent to USD 1,275.40 an ounce in Singapore today.
