Gold prices rose by Rs 87 to Rs 29,280 per 10 grams in futures trading today as speculators raised their bets amid a firming trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in April rose by Rs 87 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 29,280 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 306 lots.

Similarly, the yellow metal for delivery in far-month June was trading higher by Rs 75 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 29,305 per 10 grams in four lots.
