Gold futures traded 0.63 per cent higher at Rs 27,025 per 10 grams today as speculators indulged in building up fresh positions amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, metal prices for delivery in far-month December moved up by Rs 165, or 0.63 per cent, to trade higher at Rs 27,025 per 10 grams, in a turnover of 2,381 lots.
On the similar lines, the metal prices for delivery in October gained Rs 127, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 26,920 per 10 gm, in a business volume of 4,750 lots.
