Gold ornaments weighing 49 sovereigns were today found stolen from a house here, police said.
The inmates had gone to Courtallam and a friend of the family found the main door broken open.
When they returned, they found the jewellery missing from the steel bureau, police said, adding, the value of the ornaments is estimated to be about Rs five lakh.
