Gold seized at Mangalore International airport

A passenger, who arrived at the Mangalore International airport, was arrested for possessing gold worth around Rs 16 lakh, officials said today.

Gold, weighing 583.3 grams, was made into two cylindrical rods and found concealed in the rectum of the 19-year-old passenger who arrived here yesterday, they said.

The passenger, a resident of Kasargod in Kerala, was arrested, they said.
