Customs officials today seized 4.3 kg of gold from as many as 14 passengers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here.

All the 14 passengers, most of them hailing from Uttar Pradesh, had arrived from a Saudi flight and were allegedly trying to smuggle out the gold, a customs official said.

The gold, weighing 200 to 300 grams in varied sizes including biscuits and small pieces, was concealed on the luggage trolleys, said the official.

"No one has been detained. We are carrying out further investigations in this regard," the official said.
