Gold seized from passengers

DRI officials today seized four kgs of gold coins, worth about Rs 1.25 crore, from two passengers, who arrived by a Dubai-Calicut Air India Express flight, official sources said.

The passengers Ansas and Siraj, hailing from Kannur district were taken into custody for questioning, sources said.

They had concealed the material in their socks.
