Gold seized near Siliguri

Three gold bars, worth Rs 91 lakh, were seized from two youths driving a car at Sebak Bazar, near here, by revenue intelligence officials today.

The gold bars, weighing one kg each, were hidden under the seat of the vehicle which was intercepted on an information, the officials said.

Both the youths were arrested.

It was suspected that gold was smuggled from China through Bhutan, they said.
