Gold worth over RS 90 lakh seized at Kochi airport

Customs officials have seized 3082.70 grams of gold, totally valued at Rs 91.24 lakh, from a passenger who arrived by a Saudi Arabia flight.

Officers of Air Intelligence Unit, Air Customs, said it was concealed in a Eurogreen' car battery charger and in the form ofthree wires inside a trolley bag.

The incident occurred yesterday.
