Gold worth over Rs one crore seized at Hyderabad airport

: Nearly three kg of gold worth Rs 1.12 crore has been seized from a passenger at the airport here and a case registered against him, Customs authorities said on Sunday.

Based on specific intelligence, the man, who arrived from Sharjah, was caught for allegedly trying to smuggle 26 gold bars totally weighing 2.9 kg, an official press release said here.

Further investigation was on, it said.
