Gold worth Rs 1.75 crore was seized from five passengers who arrived at the airport here from different overseas locations today, police said.
Customs and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials made the seizure when they questioned the passengers following their suspicious movements.
Three passengers from Muscat, one each from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur had kept concealed the gold in their baggages and all of them have been detained, police added.
