Officers of DRI and Customs today seized 952 grams of gold, valued at Rs 27.9 lakh, from a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The passenger, who had arrived from Dubai by an Emirates flight, was intercepted following a tip-off, and was found to have concealed nine gold bars in specially designed pockets of his trousers, a senior Customs officer said.
He was detained and further investigation was underway.
