Gold worth Rs 36.9 lakh was seized in two different cases at the airport here Tuesday, officials said.
Customs department officials while "rummaging" an Air India flight which arrived from Dubai recovered 24 karat purity gold worth Rs 30.65 lakh which was lying "unclaimed" underneath a seat, a release said.
In the second case, officials intercepted a passenger Tamadipati Subramanyam on arrival from Bahrain and recovered six crude gold rings worth Rs 6.25 lakh concealed in his checked-in baggage.
